Depending on how you use Youri, we may collect:

• Account information — name, email, username/handle, profile photo, and other details you add to your profile.
• Content you create — wishlists, gift notes, posts, messages, event details, RSVPs, photos, and taste preferences.
• Social and network data — follows, event invites, and interactions you choose to make public or share with others.
• Device and usage data — app version, device type, crash logs, and operational analytics required to improve reliability.
• Optional contacts and calendar data — only when you explicitly grant permissions in iOS for features like event calendar export.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and enhance the Youri application and services;
• Personalize gift recommendations, profiles, and Gift DNA™ features;
• Deliver transactional notifications (invites, RSVP updates, security alerts);
• Protect users, prevent fraudulent or abusive activity, and maintain system stability;
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Gift suggestions and product ideas are provided for convenience. We do not sell your personal data to third-party data brokers.

3. How We Share Information

We share information strictly as needed to deliver Youri:

• Other users — content you choose to share (public profiles, shared wishlists, social posts, or event invites) is displayed according to your chosen privacy level.
• Infrastructure providers — trusted partners such as Google Cloud / Firebase provide authentication, database, and cloud hosting in compliance with our security standards.
• Legal compliance — if required by lawful request, subpoena, or to protect our users.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

You may update or delete your profile, wishlist items, and content directly in the app. If you wish to delete your entire account and associated data, you can initiate account deletion inside the iOS App Settings or by emailing support@myyouri.com.

5. Children's Privacy

Youri is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, please contact us immediately for removal.
